UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Members of the Penn State women's tennis team volunteered at the Special Olympics Summer Games last weekend. Head coach Dawna Prevette and players Allie Hefter, Denisa Zobeideh and Petre Januskova participated in Friday night's Sportsfest at Penn State.

The group played tennis with Special Olympics athletes, who were in Happy Valley for the Pennsylvania Summer Games. The 41st Annual Pennsylvania Summer Games drew more than 2,000 athletes and 750 coaches from the community, cities, organizations and corporations across the Commonwealth.

More than 50 Penn State student-athletes, representing 10 varsity teams, will be among the 2,500 volunteers at the state-level competition, which will include events such as aquatics, athletics, basketball, bowling, equestrian, golf, gymnastics, softball and tennis.
