UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., - Twelve former Penn State football players are returning to campus this weekend to assist the Nittany Lion coaching staff with the Senior Camp.
The camp, for 2010 high school seniors, is being held today and Saturday on the University Park campus. The fifth Penn State Football Camp of the summer, an offense / defense skills and fundamentals camp, runs June 27-30 for athletes entering 8th-12th grade in the fall.
The former Nittany Lions returning to work the camp this weekend are:
- Jeff Anderson
- Stan Clayton (Assistant coach at Lafayette College)
- Jeremiah Davis
- Gus Felder
- Josh Gaines
- Terrell Golden (Graduate assistant at Penn State)
- Aaron Harris (Assistant coach at University of Delaware)
- Dan Radakovich
- Andrew Richardson (Assistant coach at Robert Morris)
- Elijah Robinson (Graduate assistant coach at Penn State)
- Tyrell Sales
- Curt Warner
Also on the camp staff is former Penn State Football graduate assistant coach Chris Sprague, an assistant coach at Lock Haven University.
There were nearly 70 Penn Staters coaching in high school, college or professional football during the 2009 season.
Coaches from several other college and universities are assisting the Penn State staff with the Senior Camp, including staff from: Bowdoin, Bucknell, Cheyney State, Cornell, Indiana (Pa.), James Madison, Lehigh, Lafayette, Lock Haven, Maine, Robert Morris, St. Vincent, Susquehanna, Villanova and Widener.
Close to 3,000 high school players from across the nation are attending Penn State's 36th annual summer football camps this month.
