UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State football fans are in for a rare treat on Thursday, August 12. For the first time ever, GoPSUsports.com will present Penn State Football Media Day LIVE.
The free live video stream on GoPSUsports.com presented by Highmark will begin at 3:30 p.m. on media day, featuring nonstop interviews with positional coaches, key players from each position and figures close to the football program. Never before has there been a live event from football media day. Nittany Lion fans will have their finger on the pulse of all the happenings inside Beaver Stadium during 2010 Media Day on August 12.
"We are excited to bring live video coverage from football media day for the first time ever," Associate Athletic Director Greg Myford said. "Penn State fans will have the rare opportunity to be in the heart of football media day festivities with a live stream from Beaver Stadium."
GoPSUsports.com Media Specialist Tony Mancuso and co-host Loren Crispell will anchor the live coverage from Beaver Stadium. Mancuso and Crispell will conduct live interviews with key figures from the 2010 version of Hall of Fame head coach Joe Paterno's Nittany Lions.
After two years covering all things Penn State as the managing editor of the GoPSUsports.com Official Sports Report, Mancuso joined the athletics department staff this summer to serve as a content producer for GoPSUsports.com. He will provide exclusive coverage all year around on the home of Penn State Athletics on the web, GoPSUsports.com presented by Highmark.
A Penn State alum, Mancuso will take fans along to countless Nittany Lion sporting events to convey the pulse of Penn State Athletics with exclusive written and video content. Crispell, who serves as the Director of Marketing for the men's basketball team, has been a member of the athletics department since 2000. He has also served as the play-by-play voice of the Nittany Lion baseball team since 2008.

The Nittany Lions opened pre-season camp on Thursday. Joe Paterno welcomes 36 returning letterwinners and 13 starters for his 45th season as head coach and 61st year on the Penn State coaching staff. Ten additional players with starting experience also return for the Hall of Fame coach, who joined the Nittany Lions' staff in 1950.
Penn State opens the season on Sept. 4, hosting Youngstown State at 12:00 p.m., as Beaver Stadium begins its 50th Anniversary season. The contest will air on the Big Ten Network, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com. The Nittany Lions then visit 2009 BCS National Champion Alabama on Sept. 11, as the national powers meet for the first time since 1990. Kickoff in Tuscaloosa is 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Penn State has won 33 of its last 37 games in Beaver Stadium dating to a Senior Day win over Michigan State in 2004.
