Third Annual Live Penn State Basketball Student Season Ticket Sale At HUB Thursday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Oct. 5, 2010 - Penn State students eager to see the final campaign of two-time All-Big Ten point-guard Talor Battle and a senior laden Nittany Lion basketball team or the 2010-11 edition of the Lady Lions coming off a 2010 WNIT berth will have their first chance to purchase season tickets Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center.

The third annual Live Penn State Basketball Student Season Ticket Sale will feature free food and drinks, games, prizes and fun. Last year over 1,100 students purchased Nittany Lion basketball season tickets insuring the best seats in the house. Nittany Lion student season ticket holders also receive a free Nittany Nation T-shirt, early admission to home games, a student benefit coupon book from local and downtown vendors, invitation to an open preseason practice with the Nittany Lions, and post-season ticket priority.

Students can purchase season tickets with cash, credit card or LIONCASH at Thursday's event. Nittany Lion basketball student season tickets are $59 and include 14 games at the Bryce Jordan Center, among them Big Ten clashes with Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa and Northwestern and an ACC/Big Ten Challenge match-up with defending ACC Champion Maryland. Lady Lion season tickets are $25 and include a slate of seven Big Ten games as well as non-conference match-ups with Texas Tech and Delaware at the Jordan Center. A combined Nittany Lion and Lady Lion student season ticket may be purchased for $75.

The Nittany Lions and Lady Lions tip off the season with a double-header of exhibition games at the Jordan Center on Sunday, Nov. 7 as the Lady Lions take on Gannon at noon and the Nittany Lions face East Stroudsburg at 2:30 p.m. The Nittany Lions officially open the 2010-11 season on Friday, Nov. 12 in a 7:30 p.m. tip vs. Lehigh. The Lady Lions open their season at Dayton on Friday, Nov. 12 in a 7:00 p.m. tip.
