Penn State Residence Halls to Open at 5 p.m. Friday to Accommodate Football Fans Who Live There

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., - Penn State students enjoying a weeklong Thanksgiving holiday break will be able to return to their residence halls in time for Nittany Lions football, if they wish.

Kick-off for the Penn State-Michigan State football game is set for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27. In order to help accommodate those residence hall students who cannot return on Saturday morning before the game, the residence halls at University Park will open at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26. Students arriving earlier in the day on Friday will not have access to their residence halls until 5 p.m.

The commons desks in Findlay, Pollock and Redifer will open at 5 p.m. Friday While the Redifer desk will close at midnight, the commons desks at Findlay and Pollock will remain open throughout the night to accommodate students who may have lost their room key or Penn State ID+ card. Students residing in North and West halls will need to contact the desk staff at Findlay or Pollock for assistance.

The Penn State ID+ Card Office will be open on Friday, Nov. 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. There will be no food services available on campus on Friday and limited service available on Saturday. Winners of four of its last five games, Penn State will conclude the regular season with its Senior Day clash against No. 11/10 Michigan State on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET in Beaver Stadium. The contest will air on ESPN2, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

Eighteen Penn State seniors will be introduced before the game.

Tickets for the Michigan State game are available at www.GoPSUsports.com or by calling 814-865-5555 weekdays from 10 a.m-6 p.m. Tickets also are available at the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket office. On Saturday, the Beaver Stadium Ticket Office near Gate E will open at 8:00 a.m.
