UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; January 26, 2011 - The Penn State Nittany Lions used a 12-3 to end the first half to defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes 65-51 at the Bryce Jordan Center Wednesday.
The run gave Penn State a 29-28 lead going into halftime before outscoring the Hawkeyes by 13 in the second half.
Penn State powered behind seniors Jeff Brooks and Talor Battle as the two combined for 45 of the teams 61 points.
Battle posted 23 points and three assists for the 40th 20 point game of his career and the 10th of the season. Brooks posted 22 points and three rebounds as part of a career day behind the arc with five.
