UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; March 23, 2011 - Penn State basketball fans can enjoy unprecedented behind the scenes access and Emmy nominated production of the Nittany Lions' charge to their first-ever Big Ten Tournament final and first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade when the Big Ten Network airs the final episodes of "The Penn State Basketball Story" and BTN's "The Journey" in back-to-back time slots Thursday, March 24 starting at 6:30 p.m. (ET).
The final episode of "The Penn State Basketball Story" will air at 6:30 p.m. (ET) Thursday night on the Big Ten Network and throughout the week on outlets throughout the state (WNEP-TV, March 26th at 2:00 p.m.; WPSU-TV, March 27th at 11:00 p.m.; CSN-Philadelphia, March 25th at 12:30 a.m. and March 28th at 11:30 a.m.; WFXP-TV, March 27th at 11:30 a.m.; FSN-Pittsburgh, March 25th at 12:00 p.m.). The final episode takes fans from Indianapolis to Tucson, on the court and off with player and coach interviews, highlights, behind the scenes access and inside the Nittany Lions celebration on Selection Sunday. The Big Ten Network's final episode of "The Journey" will re-air immediately following the "The Penn State Basketball Story" on the Network at 7:00 p.m. The hour long episode of the Emmy nominated series wraps up the final week of the Big Ten season and closely follows the Nittany Lions as they string together three-straight Big Ten Tournament wins over Indiana, No. 13 Wisconsin and Michigan State to advance to the program's first-ever Big Ten Tournament final vs. No. 1 Ohio State and secure the program's first NCAA Tournament bid since 2001.
