Musser Competes at NCAA National Championships

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Penn State sophomore women's gymnast Sharaya Musser (Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished 12th in the all-around in the first session of the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship Friday afternoon in Cleveland. She scored a 38.600.

Musser, who was rotating with UCLA, opened the meet with a bye before moving to floor, recording a 9.700. On vault in the third rotation, she posted a 9.850 to tie for 15th. After another bye, Musser headed to the uneven bars where she scored a 9.750. Musser closed out the meet on beam earning a 9.300.

Musser advanced to the Championship competition as one of 12 Regional Championship all-arounders not on a qualifying team. A two-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, Musser owned the leading score of the 12 individual qualifiers having earned a 39.425 to place third in the Tuscaloosa Regional Championship on April 2.
