Seo Advances to Match Play at U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - After two rounds of stroke play at the 2011 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship, junior Hanule Seo (St. Louis, Mo.) has advanced to match play. Match play will consist of 64 players who made the cut in the two rounds of stroke play.

Seo finished the first two days in a tie for 12th place. Seo qualified for match play with an 8-over-par 150 (76-74) in the stroke play rounds on the par-71, 6,095-yard Bandon Trails at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore.

Cheyenne Woods led the 156 player field heading into match play with a stroke play total of 141 (72-69). She was the only player to finish under par, as she was 1-under in the first two days. There are 34 states and 11 countries represented in the women's field, with players ranging in age from 12 to 58.

The 2011 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links continues Wednesday with the first round of match play at the 6,098-yard, par-71 Old Macdonald. The second and third rounds will be played Thursday at Bandon Trails. The quarterfinal and semifinal matches are on Friday, and the 36-hole championship final will be played Saturday. The final three rounds will all be conducted at Old Macdonald. Seo will tee off today at 10:20 a.m. PT.
