UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State Women's Tennis team recently announced the addition of Marquette transfer, Chelsea Utting, to its 2011-12 roster. Utting is the second transfer student added to the Nittany Lions' team this summer, joining Nina Sertic of Kansas State.
Utting, a native of Peachtree City, Ga., played one season at Marquette before making the move to Happy Valley. As a freshman, she compiled a 17-6 record in singles play and an 18-8 record in doubles action.
"I'm excited to play for my new team and coaches," said Utting. "Everyone has been really welcoming and I'm looking forward to a positive season. I really like the competition the Big Ten has to offer."
Utting will enter her sophomore year when she joins the Nittany Lions this fall, with three full seasons of eligibility left.
