UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving teams showed a nice gesture this past Saturday, visiting the Hershey Medical Center located in Hershey, Pa. and spent a few hours greeting and signing autographs for patients and families at Penn State Children's Hospital.
As the only Level I pediatric trauma center between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, the Hershey Medical Center serves the most populous rural regions in the nation, with more than a million children in the referral area. Each year, the Penn State Dance Marathon raises money for the Four Diamonds Fund at the Medical Center.
Penn State kicks off its season with its annual Blue-White Intrasquad event on Oct. 7. That will be the forerunner of the first dual meet of the season, as West Virginia on Oct. 22 will visit Happy Valley for an 11 a.m. matchup on the men's and women's side.
