Penn State's Nov. 20 Dual with Minnesota to Air Live on the BTN at Noon

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State's home Big Ten dual meet against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Nov. 20 in Rec Hall is set to be a live broadcast on the Big Ten Network. The dual, originally set to begin at 2 p.m., will now start at 12 p.m. to allow for the live broadcast.

The early conference match-up is the first announced televised dual for the reigning NCAA and Big Ten champions. The Nittany Lions begin the season ranked No. in one early pre-season poll, that of WIN Magazine, while Minnesota is ranked No. 4 in that poll.

Penn State returns four All-Americans and Big Ten champions, all of whom placed in the top three nationally during the team's title run in Philadelphia last March: Junior Quentin Wright (Wingate, Pa.), defending national champ at 184 and a two-time All-American; senior Frank Molinaro (Barnegat, N.J.), national runner-up at 149 and a three-time All-American; sophomore David Taylor (St. Paris, Ohio), national runner-up at 157 as a freshman now competing at 165; and sophomore Ed Ruth (Harrisburg, Pa.), third-place finisher at 174 as a freshman.

The Nittany Lions will start the 2011-12 campaign by hosting the Intrasquad Dual on Thursday, Nov. 3, in Rec Hall (it is free and open to the public). The regular season begins with a home dual against Bloomsburg on Sunday, Nov. 13. Match time in Rec Hall for the match-up with the Huskies is set for 2 p.m. Season tickets have sold so well for the upcoming year fans wishing to become new season ticket holders must now place their names on a waiting list should addition season tickets become available.
