Men's Golf to Compete at Wolfpack Intercollegiate

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -

The Penn State men's golf team will head south to Raleigh, N.C. for the Wolfpack Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 3-4. The tournament will be contested at the 7,358-yard, par-71 Lonnie Poole Golf Course.

NC State will play host to Penn State along with 13 additional teams, four of which were ranked in the top-50 of the latest Golfweek rankings. The field will consist of Boston College, No. 39 Campbell, Davidson, No. 44 East Carolina, Elon, James Madison, No. 47 Louisiana-Lafayette, No. 50 Memphis, Minnesota, Richmond, Seton Hall, Texas State, UNC Greensboro and Western Carolina.

Competing for the Nittany Lions are senior Tommy McDonagh (East Norwalk, Conn.), juniors Anthony DeGol (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) and Ernesto Marin (Miami, Fla.), sophomore Shane Stewart (Dublin, Ohio) and freshman Xander McDonald-Smith (Rockaway Park, N.Y.)

The first 36 holes will be played Monday followed by 18 holes Tuesday. The first round is set for a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.
