Penn State Homecoming Traffic & Parking Plans
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 15th-ranked Penn State women's soccer team hosts Nebraska on Friday at 8:00 p.m. Intercollegiate Athletics has released its parking advisory for Friday night in relation to the evening's Penn State Homecoming Parade and concert at Bryce Jordan Center.
The 8:00 p.m. kick-off is an hour later than originally scheduled due to the parade. The parade will force some parking lots and road to close around the University Park campus.
Fans attending Friday night's match will have to utilize available parking at Nittany Lion Softball Park. Admission to the soccer game and parking will all be free if attendees park over at the softball stadium. Parking around the BJC will be $10.
The Nittany Lion Softball Park lots can be accessed off Park Avenue just west of University Drive. Parking will be limited around Jeffrey Field due to the parade and the Zach Brown Band Concert at the Bryce Jordan Center. With the forecast of inclement weather, the grass lots normally used by soccer fans are expected to be closed, forcing the pre-game tailgate over to the Park Avenue pavilion across the street from Jeffrey Field.
Penn State women's soccer encourages all fans to leave plenty of time to attend the event in case roads are still closed due to the parade, which begins on Porter Road near Curtin Road at 6:00 p.m. Penn State Live released all parking lot and street closures for the events, which can be found here.
