CARMEL, Ind. -

The Penn State women's golf team finished the first two rounds of the Hoosier Fall Invitational, hosted by Indiana, in sixth place out of 13 teams. The Nittany Lions were in second place after posting a first-round score of 305, but carded a 315 in the second round. The team finished the first day with a 44-over-par 620 at the par-72, 6,030-yard Crooked Stick Golf Course.

Sophomore Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) led the Nittany Lions on the first day after she carded a two-round score of 151, which tied her for eighth place. She was 1-over-par in the first round and then tallied a 78 in the second round.

Freshman Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich, Que.) finished two strokes behind Vosters at 9-over-par through 36 holes and is tied for 13th place. Classmate Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ont.) carded a 156 (76-80) and finished the day tied for 25th place.

Junior Hanule Seo (St. Louis, Mo.) earned a 163 for a 57th place to add to the Nittany Lions' team total headed into the final round. Freshman Erin Michel (Mason, Ohio) rounded out Penn State's starters with a score of 166 (84-82). Classmate Catherine Herrera (Houston, Texas) competed as an individual and carded a 161.

Notre Dame led all teams through two rounds with a 27-over-par 603 (306-297). The Irish also had the top individual, as Ashley Armstrong notched a 2-over-par 146.

The final round of play will take place on Tuesday (Oct. 18), which will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
