UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Februrary 11, 2012 - The Penn State Nittany Lions (11-15, 3-10) defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers (11-13, 3-10) 67-51 behind a near triple-double by Tim Frazier who scored 23 points on 7-9 shooting, adding 10 rebounds and nine assists.
A 10-0 run by Penn State with 6:02 remaining in the first half gave the Nittany Lions an 11 point lead as they went into halftime with a 36-26 advantage.
Sharp shooting by Cammeron Woodyard and solid defense by Penn State pushed the Nittany Lion lead to 51-33 with 13:30 remaining in the game behind an 8-0 Penn State run.
The lead hovered around 15 for the remainder of the game as Frazier did it all for the Nittany Lions. Frazier went 8-8 from the line and added three steals to his near triple-double performance.
Penn State will face the Iowa Hawkeyes on Thursday, Feb. 16 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
