UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State softball team opens the Carolina Classic at UNC on Saturday with three schedule changes. The Nittany Lions are set to play four games against Notre Dame, James Madison and North Carolina over two days.
To facilitate all teams playing at Anderson Stadium, the University of North Carolina has juggled the schedule for the five teams participating in Chapel Hill, which affects Penn State's schedule three times. The Nittany Lions remain slated to play Notre Dame on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and will wait until 8:00 p.m. for its second game of the day against James Madison.
On Sunday, Penn State will play the final two games of the Carolina Classic, facing North Carolina at 2:00 p.m. before concluding its trip to the Tar Heel State with a 4:30 p.m. rematch with James Madison.
