COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Penn State women's swimming team wrapped up its last action before the NCAA Championships on Sunday afternoon at the Last Chance Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
In finals action, sophomore Chelsea Weedman (Poway, Calif.) started things off with a 2:02.68 time in the 200 IM. In addition, Allie Roberts swam the 100 back finals in 55.02 a season best for her. That was also a 'B' time for Roberts.
Amy Modglin (Fort Myers, Fla.) made her return to the pool as she swam the 200 back preliminaries in 1:59.10. Meanwhile, Roberts beat her fastest time of the year by two seconds, as she swam it in 1:56.82. That is a career best for her.
Penn State will wrap up the year in two weeks when the Nittany Lions travel to Auburn, Ala. for the NCAA Championships from March 15-17.
