Penn State is coming off its first Big Ten series with Indiana this past weekend, where it went 1-2. Penn State's win over the Hoosiers came on Saturday. After a long wait to get that game underway because of a rain delay, junior Elliot Searer (Lewistown, Pa.) ended the day on the right note with an extra inning, walk-off RBI single in the 10th to give Penn State a 4-3 victory over Indiana. Searer has reached base safely in his last five plate appearances (three hits, two walks). In Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Hoosiers, the Nittany Lions had just five hits and left a total of eight runners on base. Junior Steven Hill (Colleyville, Texas) got the start for Penn State and went 6.1 innings deep of two run ball. Hill stuck out four batters, allowed four hits and walked just one.

Senior southpaw Mike Franklin (Harleysville, Pa.) will get the start on the mound for game one of the doubleheader on Wednesday. Penn State's game two starter is TBD. In his most recent outing against Pittsburgh last week, Franklin had a very quality outing, going 5.2 innings and giving up three earned runs in a 5-3 victory over the Panthers.

Coppin State comes into the two-game set winless on the season. The Eagles are a very young team, sporting a roster of 15 freshmen, five sophomores and one senior. They are coming off a series sweeping loss to MEAC foe Norfolk State this past weekend. Starting on the mound for Coppin State will be Yahya Muhammad (RHP, 0-0, 13.94 ERA) in game one and Ian Arciaga (RHP, 0-0, 11.45 ERA) in game two. Mike Wright is Coppin State's best hitter so far this season, as he is hitting .308 and has driven in four runs.

Following Coppin State, Penn State will head to Purdue for its second Big Ten series of the year, beginning on Friday.

Season tickets for students are just $20 and each student that purchases them will receive a Penn State Baseball three-quarters sleeve t-shirt, tickets to remaining home games, free food on Friday home games and two batting practice sessions with the team.

Season tickets for Adult General Admission start at just $63. For fans interested in the "In The Box" seats, those will start at $99. Youth General Admission tickets are the same cost as student season tickets, $20. Individual game tickets for Adult General Admission start at just $4 and just $2 for youth. Single game tickets can be purchased at the Spikes' box office or via a link on the tickets page on GoPSUSports.com.
