UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State baseball (10-18, 2-4) will look to extend its three-game winning streak as it hosts Canisius in a three-game series this weekend at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Junior John Walter (Haddonfield, N.J.), sophomore Joe Kurrasch (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) and junior Steven Hill (Colleyville, Texas) will start on the mound for the Nittany Lions this weekend.
It will be Dollar Dog Night at the ballpark on Friday night. In addition, all student season ticket holders in attendance at Friday's game will get free food by showing their season ticket holder voucher. Student season tickets can still be purchased at the State College Spikes' box office. Season tickets are just $20 and each student that purchases them will receive a Penn State Baseball three-quarters sleeve t-shirt, tickets to remaining home games, free food on Friday home games and two batting practice sessions with the team.
Season tickets for Adult General Admission start at just $63. For fans interested in the "In The Box" seats, those will start at $99. Youth General Admission tickets are the same cost as student season tickets, $20. Individual game tickets for Adult General Admission start at just $4 and just $2 for youth. Single game tickets can be purchased at the Spikes' box office or via a link on the tickets page on GoPSUSports.com.

Penn State picked up its third straight victory in an 8-2 win over the Binghamton Bearcats on Wednesday night at Medlar Field. Seniors Sean Deegan (Readington, N.J.) and Jordan Steranka (Pittsburgh, Pa.) each had three hits in the victory. Junior Cody Lewis (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) picked up his second win of the season on the mound.
Canisius comes into this weekend with a 17-14 overall record and an impressive 5-1 start in MAAC conference action. The Griffins are led by Drew Pettit and Jose Torralba on the offensive end. Pettit leads the team with three homeruns and 28 RBI. Torralba is hitting at a .324 clip and has driven in 22 runs. Garrett Cortright (3-3, 4.20), Devon Stewart (2-1, 4.23) and Bill Martin (3-1, 5.61) will start on the mound this weekend for the Griffins.
Penn State and Canisius have met just once in the series history. The Griffins defeated the Nittany Lions back on March 24, 2008 by a score of 11-6 at Medlar Field.
Following Canisius, the Nittany Lions will travel to Pittsburgh next Wednesday for a 6 p.m. start. Penn State hosts Michigan in its third Big Ten series of the season next weekend at Medlar Field.
