UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.; AUG. 8, 2012 - The Penn State men's basketball program will welcome all men's basketball season ticket holders to the first annual Penn State Basketball Season Ticket Holder Thank You event Thursday, Aug. 8 at Tussey Mountain.
The event, which will be held in conjunction with WingFest at Tussey Mountain, begins at 5:30 p.m. and will feature music, food and fun as well as a chance to spend an evening with head coach Patrick Chambers, the men's basketball coaching staff and more. Popular local bands Velveeta and My Hero Zero will be performing and fans can feast on a wide selection of wing recipes from area restaurants.
Every Penn State men's basketball season ticket holder will receive free admittance to WingFest as well as 10 tickets to use toward the purchase of food and beverages at the event for every season ticket held. Season ticket holders will be greeted by Penn State Athletics representatives at the main gate to the Tussey Mountain Amphitheatre and asked to present an ID for admittance and tickets.
"It's going to be a fun night and we are excited to see all of our great fans out on the mountain," said Penn State Basketball Director of Marketing Loren Crispell. "We have heard from nearly 400 season ticket holders already who plan to attend and we are really looking forward to a great event."

The Season Ticket Holder Thank You is just one of the many new benefits Penn State basketball season ticket holders will experience this year. Also included in the season ticket holder benefits package this year is a season long complimentary parking pass good for all Bryce Jordan Center lots, which will begin charging $5 for parking at all Nittany Lion and Lady Lion home games this season. Season ticket holders will also enjoy a season ticket holder T-shirt, a "Shoot-Around" event on the BJC floor and priority for tickets to any postseason tournament.
Penn State is also announcing the first chance for fans to participate in a referral program for Penn State Basketball. The referral program offers season ticket holders the opportunity to refer three potential new fans and receive a credit to their account for the following season equal to 10% of the value of any season tickets or PNC Bank Flex Books those new fans purchase. The referral program provides tangible, real savings, while allowing fans to help to fill the Jordan Center to support the Nittany Lions.
Adult Nittany Lion basketball season ticket pricing for lower bowl seats between the baselines (Sections 104-107 and 121-124) remained unchanged from the previous season at $200. Meanwhile, all other lower bowl and upper deck season ticket seats have been priced at $180. PNC Flex Books are also priced at $99 again this year. The Flex Book gives fans 12 vouchers, 10 that can be redeemed in any combination for Nittany Lion and Lady Lion Basketball tickets throughout the year and two extra vouchers for the Nittany Lions' Coaches Vs. Cancer game and the Lady Lions' Pink Zone game.
New this season is a $50 youth season ticket that includes membership in the Highmark Kids Club, a growing group that provides unique opportunities and benefits to youth ages 12 and under. The youth season ticket will allow children to enjoy the benefits of the Kids Club, and sit with their parents or families at all home games.
