UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's golf team is set to compete in the Yale Intercollegiate on Sept. 21-23 at The Course at Yale. The teams are competing on the par-72, 6,100-yard course.
Joining Penn State at the Yale Intercollegiate are Ivy League schools Princeton, Brown, Harvard, Penn and Dartmouth, as well as Lee University, Boston College, Longwood, Sacred Heart, Long Island, Lehigh, Seton Hall, Nova Southeastern and Rutgers. This is Penn State's first fall trip to Yale's tournament since 2002-03 when the Nittany Lions finished in first place (293-298-591).
Penn State had last weekend off after their opening tournament, the Cougar Classic. The Nittany Lions finished 13th in the event out of 24 schools. Junior Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) tied for sixth place at 3 under par-72. She earned Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week honors for her performance.
Looking ahead, the Nittany Lions return home to host the Nittany Lion Invitational on Sept. 28-30 at the Penn State Golf Courses.
