Students Can Purchase Iowa Tickets Monday

Oct. 11, 2012

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Oct. 11, 2012 - Penn State students have an opportunity to attend the Nittany Lions' Big Ten primetime clash at Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 20. Students who want to attend the game can purchase a ticket at Gate B (northeast corner) of the Bryce Jordan Center beginning Monday, Oct. 15 at 7 a.m.

The Nittany Lions will bring a four-game winning streak into the contest after defeating previously unbeaten Northwestern, 39-28, last Saturday in Beaver Stadium. Penn State (4-2, 2-0) is idle this week. Coach Bill O'Brien's Nittany Lions are tied with No. 8 Ohio State atop the Big Ten Leaders Division.

A limited number of student tickets will be made available on a first-come, first served basis for the contest in Iowa City. Each student will be permitted to purchase one $65 ticket and must present a valid Penn State ID+ Card to secure a ticket. All sales of all tickets will be done on a cash only basis. Credit cards and checks will not be accepted.

If student tickets still remain after 8:00 a.m. on Monday, the sale will move from Gate B to the Athletic Ticket Office inside the BJC. Student tickets will not be available after 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Public tickets for the Iowa game are available by calling 1-800-NITTANY.

Iowa (3-2, 1-0) visits Michigan State this Saturday before hosting Penn State at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. The game will air on BTN, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

Students wanting to purchase tickets so that they may sit together at the Iowa game will need to make their ticket purchase together at Gate B of the BJC on Monday morning. Students may arrive at the Jordan Center at 6 a.m. on Monday for the sale.

Should demand dictate it, tickets will be sold through a wristband lottery. If the number of students in line by 7 a.m. exceeds the number of student tickets allocated for the Iowa game, a wristband lottery will be held. Students not in line by the time of the sale, 7 a.m., will not be included in the wristband lottery, should one be held.

Penn State students will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for every away game the Monday prior to each contest. Following the Iowa game, the next student ticket sale will be October 29 for the Nov. 3 contest at Leaders Division rival Purdue. On November 5, student tickets will be on sale for the Nov. 10 clash at Nebraska.
