McNulty and Weber Earn Big Ten Weekly Laurels

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State senior Erin McNulty (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and freshman Mallory Weber (Novi, Mich.) have earned Big Ten weekly honors. McNulty picks up her first Defensive Player of the Week recognition, while Weber earns her fourth Freshman of the week honor.

McNulty made seven saves in Friday's 2-0 shutout win over Purdue, while Weber scored one of two Penn State goals on Friday. The seven saves for McNulty are a season-high. Weber is third on the team with 11 goals this season.

Penn State will open Big Ten Tournament play on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. against Iowa. The Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament semifinals will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 2, while the championship game will start at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 4. For the first time, BTN will provide full coverage of the tournament, as the quarterfinals will be streamed live on the Big Ten Digital Network, while the semifinals and finals will be available on both BTN and BTN2Go.
