Men's Hockey Matchup Against Fredonia State Postponed

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Due to the inclement weather expected throughout the region as a result of Hurricane Sandy, the Penn State men's hockey team's matchup against Fredonia State Tuesday, Oct. 30 has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.

The Nittany Lions (4-2-0), who are in the midst of a three-game win streak, will return to action Saturday, Nov. 3, when it welcomes Buffalo State to the Greenberg Ice Pavilion for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop. Students interested in purchasing tickets can visit the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office beginning Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 a.m. Tickets cost $5 and may be purchased with cash only. A valid student ID is also required.

During its recent stretch, Penn State has outscored its opponents by a 14-5 margin and has trailed for only 32 seconds. Fifteen players have recorded at least one point, while freshmen Casey Bailey (Anchorage, Alaska/2g, 3a) and David Glen (Fort Saskatchewan, Alta./1g, 4a) paced the team with five points each in their last three games.

Sophomore goaltender PJ Musico (Orange, Calif.) has been the goalie of record in each of those contests, earning a 3-0-0 record with a 1.67 goals-against average and .947 save percentage. The Orange, Calif., native stopped all 34 shots against Army Oct. 26 to secure Penn State's first NCAA shutout.
