Men's Hockey to Host Brunch Saturday

Nov. 8, 2012

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State head men's hockey coach Guy Gadowsky and Air Force head men's hockey coach Frank Serratore are among the scheduled speakers for the Penn State men's hockey brunch at the Nittany Lion Inn Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10:30 a.m. - noon.

Presented by the men's hockey booster club, the brunch is open to the public at a cost of $20. Members of the team will be in attendance, and free parking will be available at the Nittany Parking Deck.

Penn State (5-2-0), which has won four straight games, will welcome Air Force (2-3-3) to the Greenberg Ice Pavilion for a two-game series beginning Friday, Nov. 9. The reigning Atlantic Hockey champions, the Falcons represent one of at least three Nittany Lion opponents who appeared in last season's NCAA tournament.

During their four-game win streak, the Nittany Lions have outscored their opponents by an 18-7 margin and have held teams to 1-for-20 on the power play. Freshman forward David Glen (Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.), who leads the team with nine points (5g, 4a), is one of two student-athletes on a four-game point-scoring streak. Glen has recorded three goals and four assists in four games, while linemate Curtis Loik (North Vancouver, B.C.) has notched four points (2g, 2a).

The Nittany Lions have also received exceptional play between the pipes. Sophomore PJ Musico (Orange, Calif.) is 4-0-0 on the season and ranks 10th in the country with a .938 save percentage, and freshman Matthew Skoff (McKees Rocks, Pa.) extended the Penn State win streak with 23 saves against Buffalo State Nov. 3 for his first career win and the Nittany Lions' first home victory.

Standing-room only tickets remain for this weekend's games and can be purchased in advance by calling 1-800-NITTANY.
