Jordan Hill Earns Ironman Honors for Wisconsin Win

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State Senior Jordan Hill (Steelton, Pa.) was voted as the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his relentless defensive performance against the Wisconsin University Badgers. Jordan received the most fan votes of the four nominees this week to win these honors for his first time this season.

Hill saved his best performance for his last game of his career. Prior to the game, Jordan was honored alongside his fellow seniors for his commitment to Penn State Football for all four years. Hill was dominant on Saturday in Penn State's overtime victory against Wisconsin. The Steelton, Pa., native made a career-best 12 tackles (8 solo) and added two sacks and three tackles for loss. The senior had eight tackles, a sack and two tackles for loss in the fourth quarter and overtime alone. His efforts contributed to Penn State's ability to topple Wisconsin in an dramatic overtime win, 24-21.

Hill became the last player to be chosen as this season's "Ironman of the Game". This year's "Ironman of the Game" winners have included Allen Robinson (Southfield, Mich.) for the Ohio game, Michael Zordich (Youngstown, Ohio) for the Navy game, Matt McGloin (Scranton, Pa.) for the Temple game, Gerald Hodges (Paulsboro, N.J) for the Northwestern game, Bill Belton (Sicklerville, N.J.) for the Iowa game, Michael Mauti (Mandeville, La.) for the Virginia, Illinois, and the Ohio State games, respectively, Gerald Hodges(Paulsboro, N.J.) for both the Northwestern and Purdue game, and Zach Zwinak (Frederick, Md.) for the Nebraska game.

Nittany Lion fans voted online each week throughout the football season for the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game".
