Nov. 7, 2012

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Season tickets and single meet tickets, including double dual meets, will go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m. for the 2012-13 Penn State men's and women's gymnastics seasons. All tickets can be purchased by calling Penn State Athletics at 1-800-NITTANY or by visiting the Athletic Ticket Office inside the Bryce Jordan Center.

The men's program will entertain four regular season meets at Rec Hall, as well as proudly serving as host to the 2013 NCAA Championships for the eighth time in program history, April 19-21. On the women's side, the Nittany Lions will host a total of six meets inside the historic Recreation Building, including a trio of quad meets.

"Whether you've never seen gymnastics live - up close and personal - or it's just been awhile, you're going to want to see all 6 home meets in Rec Hall this season," said women's head coach Jeff Thompson.

The two teams will co-host their annual Blue & White Showcase on December 13, 2012, and is a free event open to the public.

Season ticket prices for the women's three dual meets totals $18 for adults and $12 for youth, while the men's dual season consists of only one home event at a $6 adult and $4 youth season ticket. The additional three double dual meets can be purchased on a season basis for $18 and $12 as well. Single meet tickets are available for all home meets in advance and at the door on the event night at a cost of $8 for adults and $5 for youth. Group tickets (15 or more) can be purchased in advance for a reduced rate of $4 each.

The home schedule will open for the men's team versus Army on Jan. 12, before the women will begin their home campaign by hosting Minnesota, Kent State and Towson on Jan. 19. Another women's quad meet, featuring Iowa, Rutgers and Pittsburgh, on Jan. 26 comes just a week before the two programs host the first of three double-dual meets. The Feb. 2 program will feature both Nittany Lion programs squaring off with Ohio State.

Another double-dual will feature the men's squad facing Springfield College and the women's program hosting Michigan State on Feb. 23, before the third and final double-dual of the season will watch the men take on Michigan and the women face off with Kentucky on March 16. Between those will be a women's quad with New Hampshire, Temple and Penn heading to Rec Hall for a March 9 date.

The final double-dual of the year will watch as the men's team welcomes Big Ten rival Michigan and the women's squad entertains Kentucky on March 16 to close out both home regular season schedules.

The NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships comes to University Park from April 19-21, 2013. The NCAA Qualifying rounds will take place on the opening day, with sessions at 1 & 7 p.m., while the Team & All-Around Championships will begin at 7 p.m on April 20. The NCAA Individual Finals will start at 2 p.m. on April 21 to close out the championships.
