Women's Gymnastics Heads to Nebraska on Sunday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Coming off a season-high score against Ohio State, the Penn State women's gymnastics team will head to No. 9 Nebraska this Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. The meet will be broadcasted for tape delay and be aired on the Big Ten Network this upcoming Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. Additionally, fans can follow the meet via a live scoring link and live video link on GoPSUsports.com.

"I have never been to Nebraska before," said senior Sharaya Musser. "We competed with them last year at Big Ten's, but we have never been in a dual meet with them. I am pretty excited for it."

Lions Crack Buckeyes
Penn State team put up a season-high score to take down the Buckeyes of Ohio State by a count of 195.575-194.675 on Saturday night in Rec Hall. Senior Sharaya Musser (Colorado Springs, Colo.) took home the all-around title with a score of 39.400. The senior also was first place on the balance beam with a score of 9.925 for the second consecutive week. Freshman Samantha Musto (Mays Landing, N.J.) returned to the Nittany Lion lineup after suffering an injury two weeks ago and competed in bars and beam.

The Series
Penn State vs. Nebraska: The Cornhuskers lead the all-time series with the Nittany Lions, hoisting a 26-9overall advantage. Penn State last defeated Nebraska back in 2006. The two teams did not meet in the regular season last year, but met at the 2012 Big Ten Championships, where Nebraska took home a 197.100-195.700 victory and the conference title.

Nebraska enters Sunday's meet No. 9 nationally in the GymInfo National Rankings. Junior Emily Wong is No. 4 nationally in the all-around (39.492), including a No. 5 spot on bars (9.881) and a No. 9 ranking on floor (9.892). Teammate Jessie DeZiel is tied for seventh on bars (9.869) and 15th in the all-around (39.275).
