UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Season tickets for the upcoming 2013 Penn State softball home schedule are now available for purchase. The season ticket sale is the first in program history. The Nittany Lions open their home season at Beard Field at Nittany Lion Softball Park March 29 with a three-game series against conference rival Michigan.
Tickets may be purchased by calling 1-800-NITTANY or visiting the Athletic Ticket Office Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Both ticket packages include general admission seating for all 14 home games for the price of nine contests. The adult selection costs $45 while the youth package for ages 12 and under is $27.
All season ticket holders will receive one parking pass at the Nittany Lion Softball Park for the 2013 season. A special reserved area will be held for season ticket holders and then filled on a first-come first-serve basis. The reserved parking area will be located in the lot directly outside of the Nittany Lion Softball Park. A hangtag pass will be sent out with the season tickets.
Single-game tickets will cost $5 at the park while Penn State students will be able to watch Nittany Lion games free of charge with a student ID. Group pricing remains at $3 per person for groups of 15 or more.
Nittany Lion fans will enjoy multiple in-game promotions at each home event this season, including rewards for foul ball recovery and home run t-shirt tosses. Select series will include giveaways, as well, including schedule posters and magnets at the home opener against Michigan March 29-31, Code Blue Blast against Purdue April 17, Military Appreciation Night April 19 against Northwestern and foam fingers against the Wildcats April 21. The team will be signing autographs following multiple contests this season, as well.
