Mosketti Earns Fourth ALC Rookie of the Week Award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Freshman midfielder Jenna Mosketti (Fallston, Md.) of the sixth-ranked Penn State women's lacrosse team was tabbed ALC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season and second straight week, the conference office announced.

The Fallston, Md., native continued to be a dominating presence as the Nittany Lions collected victories against Lafayette and Johns Hopkins. The freshman recorded four points (3g, 1a), five draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover in a pair of games, which included a three-goal effort in Penn State's 15-14 ALC victory against Johns Hopkins.

Mosketti, who previously earned ALC Rookie of the Week honors March 19, April 2 and April 16, leads all ALC freshmen in caused turnovers per game (1.2) and ground balls per game (1.67) and ranks second in draw controls per game (1.93). She helped Penn State earn a 4-1 conference record for the first time since 2006 as the Nittany Lions claimed a share of their first ALC regular-season championship.

The midfielder, who has started all 15 games, ranks second on the team in ground balls (25) and caused turnovers (18), third in draw controls (29) fourth in goals (22) and sixth in points (26). Mosketti has netted three hat tricks during the season and recorded a season-high four points (3g, 1a) in a 20-14 ALC victory against Vanderbilt March 17. The freshman has also registered a personal-best four ground balls on three occasions and has notched one three-caused turnover game.

The Nittany Lions (11-4, 4-1 ALC) will close out the regular season Saturday, April 27 when they visit No. 13 Princeton at the Class of 1952 Stadium. Opening draw is set at 1 p.m.
