UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Just days after hearing his named called in the NHL Draft on Sunday, June 30, Penn State freshman goaltender Eamon McAdam (Perkasie, Pa.) talked to GoPSUsports.com about his experience at the event inside the Prudential Center.
The first American born goaltender taken, McAdam was the 70th overall pick by the New York Islanders and his selection marked the first time a player currently associated with the Penn State men's hockey program was selected in the NHL Draft. McAdam talked about hearing his name called, his expectations for the upcoming season and being drafted by the Islanders after growing up a Philadelphia Flyers fan.
