The 2013 Nittany Lion Preseason Picnic has been scheduled for Friday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. The event will follow Penn State's home exhibition against Maryland, which begins at 5 p.m.
The picnic will take place at the Beaver Pavillion, located on the corner of Atherton and Park Avenue across from Jeffrey Field. The admission fee for the gathering is $25 and the RSVP deadline is Tuesday, August 20. Please send all requests to Lisa Bervinchak-Love at lmb10@psu.edu.
Earlier in the evening, the squad will take the field for the first time this season against the Terrapins from Maryland for the Lions lone exhibition match of the year. The matchup pits two perennial powerhouses against one another, as both sides consistently are ranked on the national stage. Admission to the exhibition is free of charge and the game will be played at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex.
