UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Two Nittany Lion men's lacrosse alums search for a Major League Lacrosse title starting Saturday with Championship Weekend Semifinals at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. Matthew Mackrides of the Chesapeake Bayhawks and Chris Schiller of the Charlotte Hounds are PSU's representatives.

Mackrides had a breakout season for the Bayhawks, scoring 21 goals and tallying 30 points for the 9-5 club. Mackrides' totals were third best on the squad as they take on the Hamilton Nationals in the nightcap at 4 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

In the MLL opener, fourth-seeded Charlotte looks to do what no team has accomplished yet this season: beat Denver. Schiller, a short-stick defensive midfielder, appeared in seven games this season recording six ground balls and three penalty minutes. That game starts at 1 p.m. in Chester.

The final is slated for Sunday (3 p.m.) at PPL Park.
