Special Student Ticket Offer Available For Saturday's All-University Day Game vs. Kent State

Sept. 16, 2013

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -

Penn State students can attend this Saturday's All-University Day contest with Kent State at a special price -- two tickets for $40 each with their valid student ID.

Students from all Penn State campuses and the World Campus are able to buy two tickets for the Nittany Lions' final non-conference game. Two students from each Penn State campus will proudly represent their campus by carrying its banner onto the field during halftime.

Tickets for the 3:30 p.m. clash between Penn State and Kent State are available in advance by calling 1-800-NITTANY (weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or in-person at the Beaver Stadium ticket office (weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

This special student ticket offer also is available this Saturday at the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office from 8 a.m. until kickoff.

The seats for this special student ticket offer will not be located in the 21,000-seat student section in Beaver Stadium.

The Kent State game also is a Blue Out. Fans are encouraged to wear blue attire to support the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR). Official Blue Out shirts, with proceeds going to PCAR, can be purchased at the Penn State Bookstore and at trailers outside Beaver Stadium, as well as at the Family Clothesline in downtown State College and www.pennstateclothes.com.

Coach Bill O'Brien's Nittany Lions (2-1) were edged, 34-31, by undefeated UCF last Saturday in front of an enthusiastic Beaver Stadium throng. In his third career start, quarterback Christian Hackenberg (Palmyra, Va.) was 21 of 28 for 262 yards and one touchdown, earning his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of the young season. Running back Zach Zwinak (Frederick, Md.) ran for 128 yards and a career-high three touchdowns and junior wideout Allen Robinson (Southfield, Mich.) caught nine passes for 143 yards and a touchdown.
Public tickets for the Kent State game, and all Penn State contests, are available at www.GoPSUsports.com/tickets or by calling 1-800-NITTANY, weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The Beaver Stadium ticket office near Gate E will open Saturday at 11:30 a.m. for day of game sales.
