UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - We're just a month away from the inaugural season for Big Ten hockey and the anticipation is at an all-time high in Happy Valley.
An idea that started two years ago is finally coming to fruition as the Big Ten becomes the first BSC conference to sponsor men's hockey as an official conference sport in 2013. Along with the Nittany Lions, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin, will make up the Big Ten Conference.
The Nittany Lions start conference play December 6 at Wisconsin and will play each of their Big Ten opponents four times. The conference tournament takes place from March 20-22 in St. Paul, Minn.
Below is a team-by-team look at each of Penn State's conference opponents in preparation of the 2013-14 season.
