No. 14 Women's Soccer Travels to Bucknell Tuesday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 14 Penn State women's soccer team begins a three-game road swing on Tuesday, traveling to local rival Bucknell for a 7 p.m. match-up. The Nittany Lions (3-1-1) are looking to earn their third consecutive win this season and fourth-straight win over the Bison.

PSU is coming off a victory over Boston University last Friday. The Lions edged the Terriers 1-0 on a goal from senior Taylor Schram (Canonsburg, Pa.) in the 53rd minute. Keeper Britt Eckerstrom (Germantown, Md.) made three saves in her first shutout of the season.

Senior Maya Hayes (West Orange, N.J.) leads the Blue and White in goals (5) and points (12) while Schram is second on the team with three goals and six points.

Bucknell enters the contest with a record of 2-3-0 and has lost its last three matches. The Bison most recently fell to St. Francis (Pa.) 2-1 in double overtime on Friday. Chelsea Garkowski leads Bucknell with two goals.

Penn State is unbeaten against Bucknell with an all-time record of 16-0-1. The Nittany Lions have won the last three match-ups between the two teams, most recently overpowering the Bison by a count of 3-1 on Oct. 2, 2012.

The Lions continue their away slate this weekend as they head west to play Oklahoma State on Friday and Tulsa on Sunday. The Blue and White return to Jeffrey Field on Friday, Sept. 20 for their Big Ten opener against Northwestern.
