UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- After recording their highest finish of the 2013-14 season at the Nittany Lion Invitational, the Penn State women's golf team is set for the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina University. The Greenville Country Club is hosting the event, which is a par 72, 6,004 yard course. The first day of competition is slated for, Mon. Oct. 7, is a 36-hole shotgun with tee times at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 is the final day and is an 18-hole shotgun start with tee times at 8:30 a.m
A total of 16 teams will compete for the title this weekend, including: Appalachian State, Boston College, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Elon, Georgia State, James Madison, Longwood, Maryland, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Tennessee Chattanooga, UNC Wilmington, William & Mary, and Winthrop. Last year, Maryland and UNC Wilmington were co-champions of the event.
After the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, Penn State travels to Bloomington, Ind. to compete in the Hoosier Fall Invitational, which takes place over two days beginning on October 19.
