The Lady Lions bout at home in the Bryce Jordan Center against the Bison will complete their season-opening four game homestand. Coming into the game, the Lady Lions own a 2-1 record, while their intrastate opponent holds a 1-2 record.
Two years ago the Lady Lions traveled to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell on the road. All nine Penn State players scored--shooting an incredible 50% from the field as a team--to return to State College with a 78-54 victory.
Despite having a young team (seven freshman), Penn State has looked impressive early on this season. The Lady Lions posted strong offensive numbers against Saint Francis (PA) and Fordham, and battled hard against No. 1 Connecticut this past Sunday.
Since the Penn State/Bucknell series began back in 1974, the two teams have battled against one another 12 times, with the Lady Lions winning all 12 meetings.
