UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's hockey team will host their first Big Ten Conference contests this weekend at Pegula Ice Arena and meet the No. 1 team in the country for the first time in program history. The Nittany Lions (4-10-1, 0-2-0-0 Big Ten), welcome No. 1 Minnesota (13-2-3, 3-0-1-0 Big Ten) for a pair of 7 p.m. contests on Sunday, Jan. 12 and Monday, Jan. 13.

The Cathedral on Curtin will play host of the Gophers in the first meeting between the two programs, as Penn State will have played nine of its last 10 games against ranked opponents.
