UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The #13/13 Penn State Lady Lions (13-4, 4-1 Big Ten) are back in the Bryce Jordan Center for a pair of games this week, beginning on Wednesday when they host Indiana (15-3, 2-3) at 7 p.m. It's Centre County Women's Resource Center night where fans that donate an item off of the Center's Needed Items list will receive a ticket for just $5. Thursday is also another Dollar Dog Night.

LIMITED BAG POLICY: Penn State has implemented a limited bag policy at all home athletic events this season. One clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag per person will be permitted for medical needs, child care needs and general items as needed. Items that can fit in a pocket should remain in patrons' pockets (i.e. keys, cell phone, wallet, glasses, camera, sunscreen, lip balm, make-up). General items of this nature, including those that don't fit in patrons' pocket, can also be placed in a clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag. All clear bags will be inspected through the bag and article check stations as in prior years.
TV: The game will be tape-delayed as a Student U game on the Big Ten Network on Thursday at 10 a.m.
WEBSTREAM: The game will be available as a live webstream on the Big Ten Digital Network for a fee.
RADIO: The game is on the Penn State Sports Network and WRSC 1390 locally with Jerry Fisher and Julia Trogele calling the action. The audio feed is available at www.GoPSUsports.com.
LAST TIME OUT: In a game of runs, the Lady Lions had the last run as they came back from a seven-point halftime deficit to earn a 66-54 win at Michigan State Sunday to hand the Spartans their first conference loss. Senior guard Dara Taylor led the charge for the Lady Lions with 18 points, including 10 makes from the free throw line, four rebounds, two assists and four steals. Senior guard Ariel Edwards scored 11 of her 16 points in the opening frame. She also added six rebounds and a pair of assists. Senior guard Maggie Lucas moved into 10th place on the Big Ten's career scoring chart with 16 markers. Freshman Kaliyah Mitchell was stellar off of the bench with six points and a career-high 10 rebounds in 16 minutes.
SCOUTING INDIANA: The Hoosiers are 15-3 on the season with a 2-3 mark in Big Ten play. Indiana was ranked for one week in the Associated Press poll this year. Freshman Larryn Brooks leads the Indiana charge with a 17.8 scoring average to go along with 4.3 assist per outing. She has also connected on a team-best 37 shots from downtown. Tabitha Gerardot is also averaging double figures for the Hoosiers with a 10.2 mark. She also leads the team in rebounding at a 6.4 per game clip. The Hoosiers rely heavily on the three-ball with a Big Ten-best 132 three-pointers made this season with a 34.8% mark from beyond the arc.
ALL-TIME VERSUS THE HOOSIERS: The Lady Lions are 29-9 all-time against Indiana, including wins in four of the last five meetings. PSU is 16-2 all-time in home games against the Hoosiers and have won the last three meetings in the BJC. The Lady Lions won the only meeting between the teams last season, a 76-54 decision in Bloomington.
LAST TIME VERSUS IU: The Lady Lions landed four players in double figures, led by 20 points each from Alex Bentley and Maggie Lucas on the way to a 76-54 win at Indiana (10-13, 1-9) on Feb. 7, 2013. In addition to her 20-point performance, Bentle also added four rebounds and three steals. Lucas had 20 points and pulled in two rebounds and had two steals. Mia Nickson was 4-for-6 from the field and 5-for-7 from the free throw line as she posted 13 points with 11 rebounds. Dara Taylor also landed in double figures with 10 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and a steal.
FABULOUS SENIOR CLASS: The senior class of Maggie Lucas, Ariel Edwards and Talia East is becoming one of the winningest classes in Penn State history. The trio has won 90 games in their four years in the Blue & White, which are the 14th-most wins by a class in Penn State history. The group needs two wins to tie the Class of 1992, which featured Susan Robinson, Dana Eikenberg and Kathy Phillips, for 13th place. The fourth member of the senior class, Dara Taylor, has been on the roster for 65 of those wins after transferring from Maryland after her sophomore season.
KALIYAH'S CAROMS: Freshman guard/forward Kaliyah Mitchell pulled in a career-high 10 rebounds at Michigan State on Jan. 19. She pulled in nine of her 10 caroms in the second half, including an offensive rebound and putback to give Penn State it's first lead of the game. Mitchell's previous personal best was eight rebounds against Bucknell on Nov. 20.
OVERCOMING POOR SHOOTING: The Lady Lions have won back-to-back games over Ohio State and Michigan State despite shooting less than 35% from the field in those games. In the 66-42 win over the Buckeyes on Jan. 16, Penn State shot 34.7% from the field and in the 66-54 win at MSU on Jan. 19, the Lady Lions connected on 33.3% of their shots. This marks the first time since the 2003-04 season that Penn State has won back-to-back games despite off shooting nights. On Jan. 2, 2004, Penn State topped #7 Purdue, 47-42, while shooting just 34% and followed that up on Jan. 4, 2004 with a 64-62 win over #22 Michigan State after shooting 34.9% from the field.
LUCAS RISES ON BIG TEN SCORING LIST: Maggie Lucas became the 18th player in Big Ten history to reach 2,000 points at Georgetown on Dec. 8. With 16 tallies at Michigan State on Jan. 19, Lucas moved into 10th place on the Big Ten's career scoring list with 2,193 points. Lucas passed Purdue's Stephanie White (2,182; 1996-99) to move into the Top 10 in conference history. Lucas needs 58 points to move into a ninth place tie with Purdue's Shereka Wright (2,251; 2001-04).
The Lady Lions will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Sunday when they host Minnesota at 1 p.m. Penn State women's athletic teams will host a free pre-game clinic and clinic participants will receive a free ticket and the opportunity to buy $5 tickets for their parents. Sunday's game is also a Subway Full Court 4-Pack game where fans will get four tickets and a voucher for four 6" Subway subs and four sodas for just $40. Additionally, fans will receive a voucher to redeem for a Maggie Lucas mini-magnetic bobblehead at gates while supplies last. There will also be a postgame autograph session with the full Lady Lion team.
Lady Lion Basketball single-game and season tickets are available by calling 1-800-NITTANY. Single-game tickets are $15 and $12 for adults and seniors and $9 and $7 for youth (12 and younger). Season tickets are $99 for adults and $50 for youth (12 and under), this includes a Nittany Lion Kids Club Membership for 2013-14. New this year, the Lady Lions have introduced a Family Season Ticket package. For $200, fans will get two adult tickets and two youth tickets for the 2013-14 campaign. The PNC Flex Books are available again this year for $99. The Flex Book gives fans 12 vouchers, 10 that can be redeemed in any combination for Nittany Lion and Lady Lion Basketball tickets throughout the year and two extra vouchers for the Nittany Lions' Coaches Vs. Cancer game and the Lady Lions' Pink Zone game.
The 2014 Pink Zone at Penn State will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 as the Lady Lions take on Wisconsin in the Bryce Jordan Center at 1 p.m. Last year, the Lady Lions donated a record $260,000 to breast cancer causes. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, J.C.
