UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's basketball team has been on a defensive tare over the past two weeks, thanks largely to their next opponent. The Lady Lions (15-4, 6-1) have won four straight and are atop the Big Ten standings entering their 6 p.m. contest at Purdue (15-5, 5-3).

Penn State is the lone one loss team in the Big Ten, with their only loss coming at the hands of the Boilermakers on Jan. 12. Purdue scored an 84-74 win at the Bryce Jordan Center that day. The 84 points are the most allowed by Penn State all season and since then the Lady Lions have not allowed an opponent to crack the 55-point mark.
