Frazier Named Finalist for 2014 Senior CLASS Award

Feb. 12, 2014

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Penn State graduate guard Tim Frazier (Houston, Texas) has been chosen as one of 10 finalists for the 2013-14 Senior CLASS Award. The award is presented to the NCAA Division I senior student-athlete with notable achievements in four areas of excellence - community, classroom, character and competition.

Fans are encouraged to vote for Frazier on the Senior Class Award website through March 24. Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner. Fan votes will be combined with media and Division I head coaches' votes to determine the winners. The Senior CLASS Award winner will be announced during the 2014 NCAA Final Four.

Frazier, who battled back from a season-ending injury last year to shatter Penn State records this season, has been an outstanding student-athlete in all four categories.

A 2013 graduate of Penn State as a two-time Dean's List honoree, Frazier holds a bachelor's degree in supply chain and information systems management from the Smeal College of Business and currently is pursuing a second degree in communications. He graduated with over a 3.1 grade-point average and became Penn State's 10th three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection

Frazier has also been an outstanding member of the community, regularly participating in events and fundraisers. He has worked with several philanthropic organizations during his time as a Nittany Lion, most notably Penn State's THON.

Penn State's all-time career assists leader, Frazier has helped lead the Nittany Lions to a 12-12 record in 2013-14 heading into the team's matchup with Indiana Wednesday night in Bloomington, Ind. His 16.2 points per game are second on the team, while his 6.0 assists per contest have stood atop the Big Ten all season by more than a full assist over the No. 2 point guard.

The finalists were chosen by national media from the list of 30 men's candidates announced in October. For more information, please visit seniorCLASSaward.com.
