Men's Golf Heads to Three-Day Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -

The Penn State men's golf team will take on a 13-team field at the Seminole Intercollegiate March 14-16 to conclude the University's spring break recess.

The 7,172-yard Southwood Golf Course In Tallahassee, Fla. is a par 72 and opened in 2002. Designed by Fred Couples and Gene Bates, the course will host the home team, Florida State, as well as Penn State, Coastal Carolina, George Washington, Illinois State, James Madison, Mercer, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Troy, South Florida, Western Kentucky and Winthrop.

The Nittany Lion starters will include juniors Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.) and Xander McDonald-Smith (Rockaway Park, N.Y.), sophomores JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.) and Chris Houston (Gilford, N.H.), and freshman Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario).

In addition, senior captain Shane Stewart (Dublin, Ohio) will be participating in the Seminole Intercollegiate as an individual.
