TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Penn State men's golf team finished 11th at the Seminole Intercollegiate, posting an 898 (301-297-300) at the Southwood Golf Course in Tallahassee, Fla.

Junior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.) improved his ranking 10 spots on day two, moving to a tied-for-36th finish with a 224 total (75-76-73). Sophomore JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.) shot a pair of 75's in the final two rounds to match Talbert's tournament score and finish.

Freshman Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario) shot a 76-72-77 and junior Xander McDonald-Smith (Rockaway Park, N.Y.) marked a 76-74-75 scoring sequence, both closing out their performances only one stroke behind Talbert and Dornes and tying for fortieth.

Sophomore Chris Houston (Gilford, N.H.) finished tied-for-66th with a 236. Senior Shane Stewart (Dublin, Ohio), who played as an individual, posted a 238 through 54 holes.

South Florida's Trey Valentine came-from-behind on day two of the Seminole Intercollegiate to earn the individual crown, while Mercer never relinquished its lead, shooting an 8-under 856.

The Nittany Lions will continue their spring campaign in Williamsburg V.A. for the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate March 23-25.
