"I think in our field it was respectable we only lost to the fourth ranked team by two shots and the 11th ranked team by three strokes," said head coach Denise St. Pierre. "Unfortunately we did not upse them but I hope to have this as a stepping point to our next tournament. Our spring season is packed with top tournaments, but it's by design and should we do well will up our ranking."
Arizona made a late push to pull out the victory as they recorded a final round score of 285 to put them at 866 strokes for the tournament title. The Wildcats narrowly edged second place Kent State by one stroke.
Daniela Darquea of Miami posted a third round 67 to earn a one stroke victory over three golfers who all tied for second. Darquea completed the tournament at four strokes over par.
