UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The NCAA Tournament begins this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. for the No. 15/14 Penn State Lady Lions (22-7, 13-3 Big Ten) as they tip-off against the Wichita State Shockers (26-6, 14-4 Missouri Valley).
Both teams are in the Stanford Region, but for the 15th time, Penn State is the host of the opening two rounds of play, meaning Sunday's game between the Big Ten regular season champion and the Missouri Valley regular season and tournament champion will take place at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Not only are the Lady Lions coming off of their fourth-straight NCAA tournament appearance, but this also marks the 25th time Penn State has appeared in the big dance. The Lady Lions are 1-1 all-time against current Missouri Valley Conference teams, but Sunday's game will be the first-ever matchup between the two programs.
