Cardina will have in his sights set this season on Rick Kleban's 29-year-old Penn State record of 7685 points.

On the women's side, senior Brittney Howell (Wyncote, Pa.) is looking to bring momentum from her indoor nationals performance outdoor. Howell finished seventh in the pentathlon while earning her first career All-America status. Howell currently ranks sixth in Penn State history in the heptathlon with 5093 points and is looking to improve her rank this outdoor season.
