WALNUT, Calif. - Two Nittany Lions competed at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays on Friday, with Tori Gerlach (Perkasie, Pa.) representing Penn State in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase and Matt Fischer (Kennett Square, Pa.) running the 5000 meters. Gerlach finished in the 11th spot in a time of 10:30.07 in the Steeplechase Open Elite Division. It was her first outing in the event this year. Fischer placed 20th in the competitive 5000 Meter Run Olympic Dev. Elite Division field in a time of 14:09.97. It was also his first outing this spring in the 5000.
