UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Graham Woodward, a freshman guard from Edina, Minn., has been released from his Penn State men's basketball scholarship and will seek a transfer to another institution, Patrick Chambers, head coach of the NIttany Lions, announced Wednesday.
"Graham has made the decision to continue his playing career elsewhere," Chambers said. "He is a tough, hard-working player and a great young man; we wish him the best moving forward."
Woodward appeared in 31 games during his freshman season, making six starts. He averaged 2.8 points per game and shot 39 percent from 3-point range, producing 23 of 30 field goals from behind the arc.
